2D to 3D Challenge:

Chicken Point Cabin
Problem: Translate 2D floor plans to 3D. Make both still and motion assets. Use publicly available resources.
Outcome: Make three interior and three exterior images. Make a 60 sec video including a speed-video of how the model was created.
Solution: Use DailyArchitecture for the floor plans. Use Rhino3D and Unreal Engine for the 3d modeling and rendering.
Floor Plan Choice:
Designed by Olson Kundig Architects, the solution was a bold architectural gesture — a massive operable window wall that opens the entire living space to the lake, activated by an elegant manual hand crank.
